Home grown kids will have parental guidance on moral aspects. Kids at welfare hostels have not thing but good books to help them grow noble.

Started posting Kids magazines to welfare hostels, 20 at the moment. Need help in increasing this number to all the welfare hostels.

Murals for Redcross Special Children School & Hostel 
Murals Activity is finished at Special Children Red Cross School.This remains one of those activities that showed us the instant result of what we’ve expected.Kids reaction was worth it all. Just sharing a couple of videos and pictures of how it was before and how it is now. Glad that our association and continued support is making an on going difference

Sports Kits to School Kids 

Sport kits to hostel children at Sri Santhi Ahsramam, Sankhavaram.

Benches to Government Schools 

Problem : No benches for school children. End up on dirty floor all day long.

Where : Mandal Paraja Parishat Primary School, Sarpavaram, Kakinada Rural

Solution : Meri Or Se, collected funds and volunteers have arranged these benches to be made instead buying the more expensive ready made ones.

Impact : Increase self-esteem for students , better study environment for children

 

Note Books to Government Schools

Problem :  Notebooks are not supplied by the Government but text books are given free of cost. Students end up with no source to make notes.

Where : All the government Schools

Solution : MeriOrSe has been providing Notebooks to the Government Schools in Sarpavaram since 2015.

Impact : Students have a source to make note,do home work, Present assignments and have a ready reference.

Motor for water supply

Problem  : These primary school kids are struggling for daily needs. They are having to use hand pump for every single need as the old motor isn’t working for 3 months and needs replacing.

Where : Sarpavaram primary school

Solution : A new motor , capable of filling the overhead tank

Impact : Children can focus their efforts on studies than the physical labour involved in pumping the water.

Academic Year 2019 Note Books to Government Schools

*Dear Books***
Going back to school in a new academic year had always been a fascinating experience with everything new to start with.

Even though Government is providing text books, these Government school children are never provided with note books.
MeriOrSe had an opportunity to help a few Government schools kids with new note books this year as well.

Usually kids feel glad and are happy if given anything to eat but these children were so happy to receive the new note books and are so excited to start their new year.

A special mention about a kid called “Mani” who was rag picker is bought into the school by a teacher and it felt so good to know that the help rendered is going to really needy children like Mani in the end. He is in the pics below.

**** Cartoons,Gods,Nature,Superman****

So nice to see support to “MeriOrSe” for the second round of distribution of School Stationery. Seeing those writing pads with Cartoon characters, Nature, Gods, Superman pictures and happiness in kids faces took me back to school days and how excited it was to have these pictures on books and writing pads.Childhood is always amazing,minute things make you so happy.Always wonder what makes adulthood to miss out finding happiness in tiny aspects of life !!

 

What is Meri Or Se ?

What is MeriOrSe?

MeriOrSe is not just about charity. “MeriOrSe” is a philosophy. A philosophy that says “when I see someone in need, I will stop take a step ahead and help them”. That’s it, this is all about MeriOrSe.

We all know this, then Why MeriOrSe?

All of us have a good heart, MeriOrSe is a thought that strives to bring the good hearts together.

What do we need to do as a volunteer of MeriOrSe?

As a volunteer, when you see an opportunity to help in your possibility you will help. If you don’t see a possibility to help you seek help and try to help.

 Example: a small example is if you are crossing platform1 to platform2 on you own and see an old lady struggling with luggage. You think of this philosophy “MeriOrSe” and help.

This is small example but the scope is wide:

  • It could be a rich school kid thinking of MeriOrSe help his needy friend by giving books.
  • It could be a colleague in office walking down to other colleague and offer moral support , thinking of MeriOrSe
  • It could be a farmer helping the other farmer with good farming methods ,thinking of MeriOrSe
  • It could be a passenger in journey helping to safe guard co-passenger, thinking of MeriOrSe
  • It could be a student in college helping fellow student in studies.
  • It could be a rich country helping poor country
  • It could be a hotel owner giving out the leftover food for the day, thinking of MeriOrSe.

So MeriOrSe is basically a thought in your subconscious mind to help without waiting for anyone.

The concept is universal and needs to be spread far and wide.

So does MeriOrSe need no funds?

Funds are required to reach out to the needy and to spread the philosophy of MeriOrSe

How do we spread this thought?

Remember this flower! With the “Bee” in the middle.

This will help spread the concept.

Flower represents the beautiful feeling called “MeriOrSe” and we are the Bee who would spread the fragrance and the nectar.

How ?

We create merchandise, stickers and other accessories that carry this symbol.

Put this Flower sticker on your vehicle, shop or anywhere you feel good( with caption MERIORSE underneath).

Enthusiastic people will come forward and ask what it is? Then the BEE explains it and this spreads across the world.

By the way, “MeriOrSe” – means “from my side”
